I wish I could say I was surprised, but so many times "hey, there's a southern person and a black person, let's have a Civil War AU!" or "hey, there's a Jewish person, let's have a Holocaust AU!" have come up in Idol fandom and had to be quashed. People really do seem to see the Holocaust as a setting for their emo porn—and the fact that this was not a BB, where at least you have length to see things through, but a short h/c bingo fill, so literally about a kind of kink, is really, really gross.
